The Derivatives Fundamentals Course (DFC)®, offered by the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI), is an introduction to derivatives. The course focus is on options; however, forwards, futures, and swaps are also introduced. The DFC® is the first of two courses required to obtain an Options license. It will also enable a licensed Investment Advisor (IA) to sell exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and managed future funds.
Oliver’s DFC® Study Notes are designed to support the DFC® and do not constitute actual enrollment in the course. Students must enrol with the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) at csi.ca in order to write the Derivatives Fundamentals Course (DFC)®.
